How Our Products Have Evolved
1996
Bremick launches the Self Drilling Screws range. A product range that would be continuously innovated, engineered and evolved for decades to come.
2003
Introduction of Vortex Roof Screw Version 1. It is the First Universal Roofing screw in Australia suitable for fixing corrugated and square steel roofing profiles to either timber or steel up to 1.5mm thick. It is patented by Bremick.
2005
- Bremick is the first to convert its Hex Head Screw range from AS3566 Class 3 to Class 4 Corrosion Coatings to meet the longer warranty periods on evolving corrosion resistant steel roof sheeting products.
- Introduction of Vortex Roof Screw Version 2.
- The Bremick Cyclonic Roofing Assembly range is launched. This is made possible by extensive high wind engineering testing. It is the first product developed that is suitable for a variety of steel roofing profiles in the high wind zones of Australia’s coastlines.
2007
- Establishment of Bremick Outdoor Exposure Testing to begin the Investigation into several innovative coatings including the B8 Coating.
- Launch of a range of Fasteners suitable for Australian Hardware stores including Bolts, Nuts, Washers, Self Drilling Screws and Masonry Anchors.
2009
- Qualification of the B8 coating vita the As3566.2 Outdoor Exposure Innovative coating provisions with Outstanding results.
2012
Bremick launches a number of new Screw ranges:
- Introduction of the Vortex FiberGlass Screws.
- Introduction of Vortex Decking Screws
- Expansion Of the Decking Screw range for the Hardware Market.
2014
- Introduction of Zed Point Self Drilling screws for use in commercial steel buildings. This product is for fixing sqaure roof profiles to metal purlins up to 4.5mm thick or where lapped purlin applications exist.
- Bremick launches Rigging, Rope and Cordage, Tie Downs, Chain, Roofing Accessories and Nails Product ranges.
2016
- Inroduction of revised design for Vortex Mini Orb Screw.
- Introduction of the first Winged Decking Screw for thicker metals. Bremick Registered Design.
- Major expansion ofMajor expansion Decking and Timber Drilling Screw range, including the Spear Point Decking range. Registered Design of Bremick.
2018
- Introduction of the Fixconn range of Heavy Duty Timber Construction Screws.
- Introduction of Vortex Roof Screw Version 5 with a new point design which improves the starting performance of the drilling process and stability of the screw whilst drilling in all applications. The design was confirmed after a series of prototypes were evaluated over 8 months of product trials with steel roofing installers.
2020
Bremick launches:
- The MultiOne Screw range as a registered design with a worldwide patent pending.
- The Bronzed Stainless Decking Screw range.
- The Enviropack packaging design as a registered design of Bremick.
- The Gate Hardware Product range.
2022
Bremick launches a number of new Screw ranges:
- The Vortex Plus Roofing Screw incorporating the Ultra Seal head design which prevents deformation of sealing washes from the installer over-driving the screw into the steel roof sheeting.
- The Vortex Poly Cut Polycarbonate Screw range with 10 cutting teeth for better sawing than competing products.
- Introduction of Yellow coating for the Steel Frame Screws, along with new products in the Steel Frame Screw range. Bremick holds the largest range of products for the Steel Frame market.
- The Ultrafast Trim Head Decking Screw as a registered Trademark of Bremick.
- Bremick completes a 4 year program of launching approximately 2000 new items to the Bremick Industrial Product range.
- Bremick launches a range of Post Supports and Timber Connectors complete with engineering data.
1997
Bremick launches the Masonry Anchor Product range.
2004
- Commencement of Cyclonic testing of Bremick screws.
- Introduction of the Vortex Batten Fixing Screws, patented by Bremick. It is the first specialised Batten fixing screw in Australia suitable for fixing metal battans to either timber or steel up to 1.5mm thick.
2006
- Bremick launches the Stud Bolt product range. Stud bolts are used for bolting together pipe flanges in the Oil, Gas and Water Infrastructure Industries.

- A dedicated Steel Cladding Screw range for Corrugated, Square Rib and Mini Orb Cladding profiles.
- The First Steel Frame Truss Screw range for the Australian Steel Company, Bluescope.

- The Bremick Coloured Roofing Screws using Bluescope approved Akzo Nobel powder coating.

2011
- Bremick launches the B8 range of Hex Head Screws for Steel and Timber with twice the corrosion protection of the Class 4 Screws available ont themarket. B8 Screws are suitable for use with the emerging highly corrosion-resistant steels used in the harshest ISO 922 Category 5 environments. Category 5 environments constitute Coastal environments exposed to sea salt spray from breaking surf.
2013
- Introduction of the B8 Sharks Tooth Bugl Batten range, patented and registered design.
- Introduction of the Rolled Point Steel Frame Screw.
- Introduction of Vortex Roof Screw Version 4 with a new ‘Strong Point’ for extra strengthdrilling into Multiple thicknesses of steel.
2015
- Introduction of Vortex Polycarbonate Screw with Wings-Version2.
2017
- Revised point design for Vortex Shed Screw and 14ga Fine Thread Screws to enhance fastening thicker metals whilst reducing the downward force the installer needs to apply to the drill.
- Packaging innovations with improved handle design of our plastic tubs to avoid spillage and remove plastic tape.
2019
- Expansion of te light gauge Steel Frame Construction Screw range and review of designs to enhance product performance.
- Commencement of Cyclone Testing for Region D Cyclone Screw Asssemblies.
- Introduction of NZ Commercial Screw Assemblies range for NZ commercial buildings.
- Australasian Recycling Labels (ARL by APCO) and a new modern design are added to Bremick Packaging.
